Cocoa farmers from Assin Fosu in Ghana are trained by Forest Alliance to protect their forests and wildlife and encouraged to produce “climate-friendly” cocoa. The certification of their cocoa supply means more decent wages and better access to health care and education for their families. Magnum’s aim is to source the entirety of its global cocoa supply for its ice cream production from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms by 2015.
