Mapping the road to change- Gender equality 1 – Uganda

In the Rwenzori mountains of Western Uganda two farming cooperatives are successfully challenging gender inequality by training their members, men as well as women to promote women’s rights as an essential part of of sustainable development.

The training is community-led and based on an innovative mapping participatory methodology, the Gender Action Learning System (GALS). The programme is supported by Oxfam Novib and co-funded by IFAD.
